Dr Michael Harner (1929-2018), Founder of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, author of The Way of the Shaman and Cave and Cosmos: Shamanic Encounters with Another Reality. He pioneered the introduction of shamanism and the shamanic drum journey to contemporary life and was recognized as the world leader in this movement. His passing will be missed.

Jörgen has written several books on the Nordic shamanic tradition and rune magic, and two of them are now available in English; Rune Magic and Shamanism – Original Nordic Knowledge from Mother Earth and The Active Side of Infinity – Castaneda and shamanism. His book on Rune Magic and Shamanism, I sincerly believe, is unmatched. If you are seriously interested in the study of Runes then this is the only book you need.
Simon Chamberlain is a shamanic practitioner, drum maker, teacher and founder of the Nordic School of Shamanism. I have known Simon for many years as we trained together. He runs Shamanic pracitioner training courses which are fully residential and are usually held at Ytre Sogn, Norway.
